PTSA News

PTSA Elections will be held on Tuesday, October 21st at 4:30 p.m. in the MPR.  If you have not yet joined the PTSA, please stop by the front office, membership is $8.00 per person. We strongly encourage students to join the PTSA as well.  With your membership you will receive a $2.00 discount on your EAC school spirit t-shirt. The shirts are available in the office for $6.00 with the discount.  The National PTA also offers many discounts with your membership.  
There are 3 Board positions that are currently open on the slate of nominees; Treasurer, Financial Secretary and Vice President in charge of membership.  If you are interested in running for any of these positions, please submit your name from the floor on the day of elections.  All members of the EAC PTSA have the right to vote and run for a board position at the elections.  
Join now and be a part of your student’s future and together we can provide so much for them.

Chipotle Night

The EACMS Band Program will be having a fundraising night at Chipotle on Wednesday, Oct. 22 from 5 pm-8 pm.  (Newport and Haun)  Join us for dinner and help raise funds for instruments!  Just bring the attached flyer, show the cashier on your smartphone, or tell the cashier that you are there to support the EACMS Band Program, and Chipotle will donate 50% of the profit!  Hope to see you there!

Chromebook Distribution

Attention Parents,

Our Chromebooks are finally here!  The first shipment came today and we will begin distribution in the following order:

8th Grade - October 2nd & 3rd During Science
7th Grade - October 9th & 10th During Science
6th Grade - October 16th & 17th During Science

Students will receive a training on proper care and use and will bring home The Romoland School DIstrict's Instructional Device Policy.  Please read the form and sign the bottom.  Students will be asked to return the signed portion to their Science Teacher.

Parents are also invited to participate in a Parent Chromebook Training in the MPR during the following times:

8th Grade Parent Chromebook Training - October 7, 2014 from 6:00-7:00 PM
7th Grade Parent Chromebook Training - October 13, 2014 from 6:00-7:00 PM
6th Grade Parent Chromebook Training - October 20, 2014 from 6:00-7:00 PM

Here Comes The Donut Patrol

Attention Scorpions, this week is the start of the Perfect Attendance Donut Patrol.  Once a week, a member of the staff and the PTSA will visit first period classes.  The first class with perfect attendance during first period will receive donuts on the spot!  Be here and be on time because The Donut Patrol just might visit your class.

Attendance Awareness Month

September is Attendance Awareness Month. As we all know, student attendance plays a major role in the development of students throughout middle school. Students who are on time and at school everyday gain every opportunity to grow socially and academically. This month we will be introducing the Attendance Donut Patrol. The Donut Patrol will be carrying three dozen donuts around campus during first period. The first class with perfect attendance during first period will win! Be on the look out for more attendance incentives throughout the year.
